again your photos of steven are amazing--what an exquisite subject--i'm thrilled that someone captured what i've been struggling to describe in words.
Thanks. We shot these in Mexico in 1998. I'm glad you like them. it was impossible to point a camera at Steven without being bowled over by him.

I will never forget the first time I saw that magnificent face. An avalanche swept over me when our eyes locked. Within a week he had become an irreplaceable gift to me. I celebrate every second that I spent with Steven. He ignited me. I looked up to him like a father, a brother, a saint, a enigmatic masterpiece. I am comforted and assured by his presence within our consciousness. His gifts of compassion, intensity, honesty, empathy, and intellect were infused with a perfect amalgam of love and pain. From him I learned to be humbled and baffled by simple beauty. He blessed me with his poetic nature and his constant sincerity. He protected me and I gave him my trust. He was as beautiful in his failures as he was in his triumphs. Steven will always be with us. I am so grateful.
