One of my favourite still sequences from one of my favourite films of 2007 - Syndromes and a Century by Apichatpong Weerasethakul. It's not every film that shows you a Thai haematologist pulling a bottle of booze out of a prosthetic limb. This is a surprise laugh out loud moment in a film filled with some of the most beautiful images of the year.
Sadly it's also one of the scenes in the film the Thai censorship board took exception to, and they demanded it and three other scenes be cut from the film before it could be released in Thailand. You can read a bit more about this and sign a petition here.

Well I was in Bangkok a year ago and tried desperately to find some dvds with his films. No one ever heard about him...
I don't know how many people speak Finnish in Bangkok though!
